This activation of the objects/subjects addresses the copies of the looted and not yet returned. Reading to these figures rotating around the centre of an axis on which this time of return turns, Khadija picks up the book, whose shadow encases the object. The book is Der Königsweg and Psychologie de l’Art: Le Musée imaginaire by André Malraux, the figure in Lisl Ponger’s photograph “Dancing on Thin Ice”. Another rotation, across the ceiling shadows of the arm of Malraux as he hacks off the sculpture from Ta Prohm’s walls. You hear the story in polyphony, read from Mit fremden Federn: Quetzalapanecoatl – Ein Restitutionsfall. Shadows and film made in collaboration with Marcus Neustetter, on the occasion of Lisl Ponger’s exhibition at Das Weisse Haus, Vienna, 2021.
